In addition to Job Posting, attending our Hot Shots events, we offer a few additional services:
  • Recruiting Process Management – SPARK and Mi-Works can manage the recruiting process for you.  We can advertise, screen candidates and set up interviews with the hiring manager.   
  • Attracting out of town talent – SPARK can help set up free tours of the Ann Arbor area, and can provide customized information to families, and access to theatre and event tickets to help recruit key talent from out of the area.
  • Training Programs:
    • Incumbent Worker Training - Want to bring employees up to speed?  Mini-grants of up to $10,000 for Incumbent Worker Training.  Can be used for ISO 9001 training and more...

      Description: 
      Incumbent Worker Training funding is provided under the Workforce Investment Act and is targeted to employers or industries that are experiencing a decline and have the potential to undergo layoff, or are experiencing a skills gap that impacts their ability to compete, retain workers, and expand.

Career Counseling
  • MI-Works! Partner Services – Our partner Washtenaw County ETCS provides job counseling and resumereview services. You can also submit a resume to the Michigan TalentBank, and can search for jobs on this State-wide system. Call 734.484.7247 x249 to talk to a counselor about career advice or about tips on writing your resume.
  • CEW – The Center for the Education of Women provides a number of GREAT SERVICES for men and women. They offer free counseling that covers the following topics: Goals clarification, Feedback on resumes/coverletters/applications, How to start a job search, Educational goals, How to return to college or graduate school, Work/life/family/balance issues.
